Locally-Produced Food & Wine Showcased at
Comcast Art & Soul Oakland Festival
Gourmet Food Expo Added to Popular Event The 2006 premiere of Oakland's Own Expo was a resounding success. The event highlighted Oakland food producers while prompting Bay Area consumers concerned about energy conversation, greenhouse gases and oil dependence to view the food they choose to eat as important as the cars they choose to drive.
Participating exhibitors offered free samples of gourmet food, wine, tea, chocolate, baked goods, organic produce, nut butters and all-natural barbecue sauce – all produced in Oakland.
"It was a fabulous event for us. We achieved so much outreach.See you next year even bigger and better."
Rebekkah Arnett
